Prayer

As we headed home from church tonight we got a text message from a close family friend. They are going through a tough time right now and are in much need of prayer. So I am asking that those who read this will keep them in their prayers.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who called you is faithful, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us.” ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-25

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance .” ~Psalm 42:5

“Oh send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to your tabernacle.” ~ Psalm 43:3

“Hear my prayer, O Lord, and let my cry come to You, Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; incline your ear to me; in the day that I call, answer me speedily. “The Lord bless you and keep; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” ~ Numbers 6:24-26
